Lithography.

“IMPRESSIONS” originated as an exploration of my personal experience and introduction into fashion as it relates to both street wear and high fashion, two seemingly contrasting movements that have grown to occupy much of the same space. For my introduction, Virgil Abloh has been a major character operating as both the founder Off-White, my favorite street wear brand, and lead designer for Louis Vuitton menswear, my favorite high fashion brand. In this piece the classic Louis Vuitton monogram and Off-White logo/signature quotations represent high fashion and streetwear respectively, while the portrait of Virgil Abloh bridges the gap between those two worlds.

The process brought me to contemplate, does a dichotomy exist between fashion as a pure form of art and fashion as monetary exploit? At what point does making a meaningful statement take a back seat to the necessity that every release be profitable?
